At Thames Pre-school we aim to build on your child's interests and experiences to provide them with the best possible start in life.  We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through a play based and child-led curriculum of activities.

What does a typical day look like?

It depends! We plan adult led activities for each week based on the interests of the children. However, if has rained, we may well go out and enjoy splashing in puddles. If one of our children has shared their enjoyment of a family wedding, we may well re-enact a wedding, build a junk model cake and bake some wedding cupcakes. The opportunities are varied and endless!

We understand that children learn most when they are engaged and interested - it is our job to take this further and enhance their experiences, learning and skills.

It's through this approach that we can support children at Thames to grow in confidence and independence, not just for starting school but for their whole life ahead.
